9 months

waw, time flies when you're having fun!!!

He spent as much time inside my belly as he spent outside it (nah, actually , that's not completely true but hey, figure of speech and all that jazz...) and he's more and more fantastic every single day. He's up basically all day now, taking a power nap now and again, and then he's loaded with energy and following me around the house or playing godzilla or being naughty and trying to get his hands on the kitty food, or worse the kitty litter or then again, taking the small table for a walk through the living room. In the evening, he is, of course, knackered.

so at his ninth monthday, i took a picture of him enjoying his evening ritual, and his pike (who he loves - thank you sweet George for introducing him to the seaworld, hope you're enjoying NY ;))

plopsaland

yay!

we went to plopsaland and had the bestest of times ever ;) I felt like a kid again, and ilia stayed awake almost all afternoon just so he could enjoy the rides!!!

mummy's day

today was my first mummy's day. I got presents from friends, texts from the boy i love but most importantly: a gift from my son (where, according to the nurses in daycare, he has worked very hard on) and a card as well (his bibi gave him a hand, he's not so good at writting yet... ) ;)

crawling is for woesies!

since i can crawl, i lost my interest. Ok, admit it, it's easy when you want to get somewhere or upset mum by eating catfood... but STANDING is much more fun. I do it everywhere and it's brilliant!!! next step is walking, still need to train that trick.

lama! lama! hooray for lama!!!

lama once went flying, she went to a place where people think they're the best and most brilliant, but they mess up the world. She brought me and (at that time a very huge belly) back a pj's with ELMO. Since, in that country, all the babies are huge, my dearest monster, who's tiny, could actually wear his newborn pj's today, for the very first time. boy, did he love them!

busy week

this week has been very busy, with may day and all. On wednesday we went with Elke and her daughter Cindy to Brugge, and had a wonderful time. On thursday we went to Koen and his almost four year old son Arne, and we went to a playground and had fun. In the late afternoon, we went to Hans's house- warming-tea-and-cake-late-afternoon party where we met loads of people and even more little kiddies. On friday we met Goedele and Wim and Ilia's best friend-of-his-age Guust and we had a long walk through Gent, had a delicious pancake and bought nice jewelry ;)

But on saturday, that is today, i went with mum and bibi to the park and relaxed all afternoon! I tried to eat the grass and flowers, and they were delicious!!!

Tomorrow i'll see my second cousin Amber again. Am curious if she has changed any since the last time we met...

guust and me

guust is my friend. he's 3 months younger than me so he's bound to look up to all the tricks i can do... we are about the same height tho... it's good to have a boy my age as a friend!

Yep, as ilia turned 8 months on wednesday, and he crawls through the house, he decided that it was time for a different diet... kitty food.

In de end, decided that it wasn't as good as he hoped it would be... the cats, yep, both of them, were very relieved ;))

crawling!

friday, ilia crawled to me, probably because he was so happy with his new room that he wanted to hug me. He hasn't quite crawled forward today, he did crawl in every possible direction, just not forward. ;)

bath time

we did some springcleaning this weekend and ilia was so dirty from eating cookies and moving around in the dust, that he went in his bath. he loves bathing and playing in the water ;)

my battle with the teamug

I was washing the dishes earlier tonight, after having had a wonderful homecooked dinner. As i opened the kitchencloset, a purple milka cowish teamug fell out. Of course my hands were slippery and wet and i tried to catch it, but i failed miserably... Eventually, after what seemed to last an hour, but must have taken a couple of seconds, the teacup broke on my forehead. I can tell you: it hurt like hell! I was getting dizzy and felt something sticky and warm running down my eyebrow and cheek (no, there was no actual tea involved)... Yep, blood was gushing out (a little exaggeration, but that's me eh!) and i almost fainted (no exaggeration here tho). So i went to sit on the floor, took a towel on my way, and tried to stop the wound from bleeding. It wasn't as bad as it seemed, and it's mainly on my eyebrow, so it won't leave a scar (damn!) but it's bruised and will probably be black and blue and a little bloody tomorrow. Oh, and i have a major headache... But most of all, when i was sitting on the floor, realising what had just happened, i just laughed my socks off...

meeting friends

yesterday; i met my friend Elke and Ilia met his friend Cindy. We had fun, like we always have ;) and took some adorable pictures. Ilia even had a bit of my cottage pie! I drank the guinness myself ;)

finland

just went to finland, had fun! check my pictures on facebook as well... ;) and just to prove that i actually was in finland, a picture of me and the horrific snowman (built by jani and he has survived my entire trip) altho in the end it reminded mum and her friend of something else ;)

6 months!

I had a wonderful 'birthday', became 6 months today, played with duplo, watched rugby with my cousin nick, enjoyed my first chicken, and stayed with my gran while mum went to work...

wow, 6 months today, i'm getting old ;) and i am a huge fan of rugby (watched my first game tonight together with my cousin)... and i've got my own rugby shirt! cool eh!
